Removing/Uninstalling duckduckgo browser

I'm guessing that google search was NOT for the browser. I spent a few hours last night trying several suggestions out, nothing worked so I continued this morning, still no results so I did a system restore hoping nothing got messed up. No sign of that browser on my desktop/taskbar(y) (Y)

I just went to reboot my pc & saw the duckduckgo icon in the start menu so I right clicked it & clicked uninstall. Nothing happened so I did so again & still nothing so I clicked remove from list & it disappeared. Other than resetting my desktop, is there a way to know for sure its gone, Please.

This morning I had an update requiring a reboot, once it got back to the desktop I clicked the start button & duckduckgo icon was back in the menu. I googled https://www.google.com/search?q=how...NjY5MzlqMGowqAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 & followed several of the videos & instructions only to find out they were for search engine NOT browser. I just don't want to get a pop up for an update for it when I do not want it. I even uninstalled Google Chrome & reinstalled it, no change. Any help is appreciated. Resetting my pc is a last choice, TIA.

Spent 3 plus hours yesterday resetting my pc to factory setting, No duck browser icon in start menu. Never had such a bad experience with a browser:mad:
