Nintendo Switch 2 teardown confirms Nvidia Tegra T239 chip, SK Hynix memory, more details

Digital Foundry has been very adamant that the Switch 2 is on 8nm and not a better process node. The problem I have with that is that the T234, which apparently the T239 is based off of was 455mm2. Even with 1/3 less CPU cores and 75% of the CUDA cores, getting that down to 214mm2 (46% of T234)...

Trump's 125% tariffs hit Chinese Amazon sellers hard, forcing them to raise prices or quit the US

Best qualities. Can hold 1000lbs. Has hidden pocket for cheese. I'm going to miss descriptions like these.

Every first-party Nintendo Switch 2 game will cost $70 or $80 – even the old ones

The reality is, even though these games were much more expensive back then comparatively, most people only owned a handful of games for their console. Some people owned a bunch of games, but the average SNES/N64 owner had less than 10 games at the end of the lifecycle. They would pawn games and...

Every first-party Nintendo Switch 2 game will cost $70 or $80 – even the old ones

Nintendo also received massive backlash about pricing at the Treehouse event where over 90% of the comments were people telling them it was too expensive and to drop the price of both the system and the games. Nintendo then proceeded to delay US preorders to 'assess the tariff situation'...

Nintendo Switch 2 is official with 7.9" 120fps VRR display, 4K at 60fps when docked

The game prices were inevitable. Doom Dark Ages already $79.99 and other companies have announced higher prices too. I'm not surprised one bit by this, but it does sound like there will be variable pricing by game. DK Banaza, which seems like a fairly solo experience was $69.99 and Mario Kart...

    Microsoft's next-gen gaming strategy: A handheld, a PC-like Xbox, or both?

Xbox as a console is dead. They really can't release an Xbox and say, well, you can play all the games here you can also play on PC and other consoles. It just doesn't make sense anymore. Xbox as a brand though is still marketable and I believe a line of mass-produced PCs that focus on bringing...

Inzoi system requirements suggest upscaling is essential

Who plays games meant to simulate having an actual life? I guess a lot of people do, but why... Go outside, go to the store, go to church, meet people, get a real social life. It's not really that hard.

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Review: The Best High-End CPU

At the price, it would be better for AMD to offer the 9900X3D with a full 8 on the X3D core and then 6 on the non-X3D core. Yes, that would make it 14 cores, but it would make sense of the price and not compromise the performance of the X3D core. The 6 core X3Ds could be saved for the inevitable...

AMD Radeon RX 9070 Review: One Hit, One Miss?

I have an RTX 4080 in my primary gaming computer and I don't think I'll be changing that out for a while or will need to since there are about 5 GPUs in that same graphics category now, seems like it'll be the target performance for the next 2-3 years at least. That being said, my older gaming...

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Review: Have They Finally Done It?

The 9070 XT is a better value all around than the 5070 with the exception of a few games when you turn on the full RTX where Nvidia clearly still has a major advantage. The thing is though, in most cases you wouldn't want to play those settings on the 5070 either as it's barely up to the task...

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Review: Have They Finally Done It?

I get that value perspective here. But it's a 7900 XT with less RAM and 50% better RT. A good value I guess, especially if you can actually find it at MSRP. But, for those hoping that AMD was finally going to release the GPU we've all been waiting for, perhaps not. Maybe GPUs really are maxing...

AMD launches the $549 Radeon 9070 and $599 9070 XT: Another fail or great success?

AMD needs market share and to get market share they are going to need to be even more aggressive with pricing than this. The 9070 XT is okay at $600 and the 9070 is DOA at $550. Should have been XT at $550 and 9070 at $450, that would be the kind of aggressive pricing that would move market share.

AMD launches the $549 Radeon 9070 and $599 9070 XT: Another fail or great success?

Does it change the status quo? Not really. Is it more compelling than the RDNA3 launch? Yes, but mostly because of Nvidia fumbling the 50 series in multiple ways, including performance. Will AMD increase market-share? Maybe, but I maintain what really matters are the <$400 GPUs for...
