Microsoft and EU set to end Teams antitrust clash on friendly terms

Cool, EU, you gunna do something about them forcing Edge in Windows? You already fined them over these practices 15 years ago with IE, it’s the exact same behaviour.

Lawmakers say TP-Link's rock-bottom prices fuel Chinese cyberattacks, back US sales ban

People really just buy the cheapest thing they can don't they? It's a shame Apple got out of that market, they're one of the rare brands that could convince people to part with a bit more cash for their network setup.

Apple launches CarPlay Ultra, with Aston Martin first to adopt new in-car system

“ While Aston Martin is focusing on its US and Canadian customers for now, it plans to expand globally across its lineup by the end of next year.” Does that mean it’s not available in the UK?

Sony considers PS5 price hikes to cover Trump's tariffs

During the Xbox One era (and the start of the PS5 / Series X/S era) even on these very forum's there were American's defending how much better the Xbox was over Playstation. Just suprised that's ended so suddenly, Microsoft really cannot stop shooting itself in the foot can it?

Sony considers PS5 price hikes to cover Trump's tariffs

I thought America were a mostly Xbox crowd?

Zotac's new OLED handheld gaming PC runs a Linux-based OS

What? Why would you want to use Windows on a handheld anyway? It's bloody awful.

Zotac's new OLED handheld gaming PC runs a Linux-based OS

Stick SteamOS on this thing and I'd consider it. It took Valve (a software company) considerable work to get SteamOS where it is today. I HIGHLY doubt Zotac can get even remotely close to the polish of SteamOS.

Samsung's Odyssey OLED G6 is the world's first 500Hz OLED gaming monitor

I’ve always read that an OLED @ 240Hz would feel like an LCD @ 360Hz thanks to OLED’s crazy response times. Does that mean this 500Hz monitor probably feels like 600Hz if an LCD could even get that high?

Doom: The Dark Ages, 36 GPU Benchmark

Then what’s the point of the GPU being capable of it and costing £350+ but pairing it with insufficient VRAM? Might as well half the GPU performance (lower the price to £200 or less) and leave it at 8GB saving a ton of money for everyone, then as you say, it wouldn’t matter it can’t run 4K...

Doom: The Dark Ages, 36 GPU Benchmark

And your point? My point is that 8GB of VRAM isn’t enough for modern games to use 4K textures. With DLSS, modern GPU’s seem pretty capable of half decent 4K performance but you can’t load up the high res textures because 8GB of VRAM simply isn’t enough. What’s your point about settings?

Doom: The Dark Ages, 36 GPU Benchmark

Sorry, what? Are you aware of what games store in the GPU VRAM? Because let me tell ya, textures is the largest part, 8GB is not enough for 4K textures in modern games.

Doom: The Dark Ages, 36 GPU Benchmark

What an insane comment section, people actually sticking up for 8GB cards. You can pickup entire consoles for less money than some of these 8GB cards, it’s an entire self-contained system and comes with 16GB of VRAM. Intel don’t even sell a GPU with less than 10GB, mobile phones have more...

SteamOS beta adds ROG Ally and Legion Go support, new controller compatibility

Okay so this is my bad, I definitely read something back in Jan about it, turns out, Valve changed their statement afterwards, instead of "devices" they changed it to "handhelds". I swear I read something about the Linux Nvidia driver causing them problems as well and that's why they didn't...

SteamOS beta adds ROG Ally and Legion Go support, new controller compatibility

All good news in my eyes, did they ever give us an update on SteamOS for desktops? I seem to remember something about Nvidia drivers being shocking in Linux holding it all back?

Epic challenges Steam with zero percent fee for first $1 million per game

You’re angry at the wrong thing, you should be mad that, after many years, and multi-millions of dollars later, EGS still can’t even remotely compete. If EGS had full screen mode, built-in mod support, local game streaming, I legitimately would use it, but it doesn’t have, even a quarter of the...
